The Multidisciplinary Unit for Overweight and Obesity at Clínica ServiDigest in Barcelona and the EBAME-SEEDO Group are participating in the development of a multidisciplinary consensus on nutrition and physical activity in Bariatric Endoscopy. Potsdam (Germany), 24–25 September 2026.
The Multidisciplinary Unit for Overweight and Obesity at Clínica ServiDigest in Barcelona, accredited as an EASO Collaborating Centre for Obesity Management (EASO COM), participated in the EASO COMs Summit 2026, held in Potsdam (Germany) on 24 and 25 September. This international meeting brings together centres and professionals specialising in the multidisciplinary management of obesity.
The participation of the OBESITY UNIT at CLÍNICA SERVIDIGEST had a strong scientific focus, together with the EBAME-SEEDO Group, in the fields of Bariatric and Metabolic Endoscopy and the comprehensive treatment of people with overweight and obesity.
One of the projects presented during the meeting was:
“Development of the First Multidisciplinary Consensus Guideline for Nutritional and Physical Activity Support in Endoscopic Bariatric Therapies”
The project aims to develop a multidisciplinary consensus on nutritional and physical activity support for patients undergoing endoscopic bariatric treatments, establishing recommendations to help optimise outcomes and medium- and long-term follow-up.
Bariatric Endoscopy is currently one of the therapeutic options available within the comprehensive management of obesity and, in order to achieve appropriate and sustainable outcomes, it needs to be integrated into a multidisciplinary treatment and follow-up programme.
The document brings together the experience and expertise of different specialties involved in the treatment of obesity, including Gastroenterology and Bariatric Endoscopy, Endocrinology, Nutrition and Dietetics, Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery, and Physical Activity specialists.
This multidisciplinary approach is consistent with the care model developed by the Multidisciplinary Unit for Overweight and Obesity at Clínica ServiDigest in Barcelona, where treatment is tailored to the clinical and metabolic characteristics of each patient.
The consensus brings together the experience of professionals from different disciplines involved in the treatment and follow-up of obesity.
European scientific cooperation in obesity treatment
The EASO COMs Summit also provides a forum for sharing experiences among EASO-accredited European centres, analysing new models of care and promoting collaborative scientific projects in the field of obesity.

Its multidisciplinary model integrates Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Nutrition and Dietetics, Clinical Psychology, Bariatric Endoscopy, Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery, and Physical Activity, with the aim of providing a comprehensive and personalised approach to obesity.
Participation in international scientific meetings such as the EASO COMs Summit 2026 and collaboration with the EBAME-SEEDO Group form part of this commitment to innovation, research and the continuous improvement of quality of care.
